I took a 3 day class with this group and it was great. Before you go out alone learn from them!
They can also give you a hook-up on gear!

My gym (Lifetime Fitness, Berkley Heights, NJ, USA) has a fantastic climbing wall. If anyone ever wants to try it out, let me know.
