Although not quite the orient express I will be about to take the Trans-Siberian express with my partner. I have been studying both Mandarin and Russian to help with the trip.

At the end I need to fly from St. Petersburg to Prague to be the best man in a wedding (where I need to give a speech in both German and English).

Feels like Bond to me

That sounds like one hell of a trip and I loved St Petersburg when I visited some 12 years ago or so.

About 18 months ago I had to give a bilingual best man speech, which went really well. I didn't say exactly the same thing, but played around so that anyone who spoke both wouldn't get too bored with it and it seemed to work really well.

Will certainly post them when I get back (am travelling in August)

As a further Bond moment - my girlfriend (who works as a corporate lawyer) recently spent some time catwalk modelling as part of a fashion weeek where I live. Amazing photos, on tv etc.

I just realised the lawyer - model is the classic Bond girl! (and most men believe she is fictional)
