I just got back from a one week business trip in Madrid. I didn't realize it, but parts of QOS were filmed there. Does anyone know which scenes?

I have traveled extensively and Madrid is one of the best cities I have been to. It is amazing. Here is what I would say...

- The people of Madrid are very special. They are more reserved than the Italians, but very kind and helpful. You should be aware that very few speak any English, so brush up on your Spanish. They are, however, very interested in helping you.
- The city is extremely clean and very very safe.
- Food is amazing: Tapas and Paella WOW
- Public Transportation is excellent. Buses, subway and a great system of tour busses in the historic district.
- The city is very walkable, even late at night. Restraunts serve dinner between 8pm and 12am.
- Lots of history in madrid and excellent museums. Picaso!
- It is also cheaper than Rome or Paris. My wife and I got two ham and chees sandwiches, a coke and a beer for 6 euros at stand-up restaurant in the heart of the tourist district, plaza del sol

Go to Madrid

Thanks for the report--looks like a great trip.

Brings back memories of my own trip to Madrid, which was decades ago. Friends and I had a most memorable meal in the "cheapest restaurant in the world."

Sounds like a great city to visit.
Whenever you go somewhere new.............. you gotta do the bus tour. :D
I have in New York, Dublin and London and it's a great way to visit parts of the city you wouldn't normally get the chance to see.

Ah yes, the bus tour... Just got back from London, and did the bus tour there, great way to get a quick recon and history lesson about the location before setting out to look at specifics.
