Solitaire's Tarot Cards

Q-BRANCH -- Solitaire was the mysterious and gifted psychic, played by Jane Seymour in 1973’s Live and Let Die. Blessed with the gift of being able to reliably prophesize future events, Solitaire used the tarot to guide and advise the crime boss Kanaga, played by Yaphet Koto. The tarot cards played a central role in the film and featured heavily in both the film's imagery and plot. Live and Let Die is generally acknowledged as having introduced tarot to a wider mainstream audience.

This beautiful 1:1 scale replica of Solitaire's prop tarot cards, officially licensed by Danjaq LLC and EON Productions, has been created after meticulous study and research of the original props in the EON archives as well as interviews with original cast and crew. The original prop cards were hand-crafted for the production and had deteriorated and faded somewhat with the passage of time. We have meticulously copied and digitally restored each original prop card to accurately replicate it as seen on screen, including all the subtle variances that are present in hand made work. Each card has been printed onto ultra-heavy weight 400 pt stock and features the striking stylized red ‘007’ repeating pattern seen in the film on the reverse. Our replica correctly reproduces the 22 different prop cards produced for the film, with the film accurate titles and artwork, which are different from commercially produced tarot cards. We have also included seven additional duplicate ‘lovers’ cards to replicate the key scenes in the film.

The replica card set is presented in a handsome presentation/display box and includes a black velvet storage bag. Also included is a detailed prop story booklet and certificate of authenticity.
